Sandblasting

SURFACE ETCHING has a subtle “shadowy effect” emphasizing blending of light and dark. It is best viewed with a dark background because bright sunlight tends to “wash it out”. Surface etching lends itself well to cabinet door inserts and applications where tempered glass is required such as interior doors and shower doors. In places where more privacy is desired, reverse etching can be done with a larger portion of the glass being etched so light will still be transmitted, but you can’t see through it.

DEEP-CARVING is done on thicker glass (minimum 3/16”) . It produces a 3-dimensional sculptural effect that looks great in any kind of light.
